Blossom & Basket Boutique, a family-owned florist and gift basket company located in Mt. Airy, MD, was preparing to celebrate its tenth year in business. During a routine visit to the Post Office, owner Ellie Bonde struck up a conversation with Mt. Airy Postmaster Jack Felton. Felton told Bonde how she could grow her business with a new Simplified Addressing product – Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM). Bonde was eager to learn about this cost-effective mailing solution that required no fees or expensive mailing lists.
Felton agreed to assist Bonde with a mailing that would target specific areas in Mt. Airy. Blossom & Basket Boutique’s first mailing informed customers of the special deals being offered to celebrate its milestone anniversary. “The mailing really brought in the customers — customers even came in the same day the mailing went out,” said Bonde. “What a return on my investment!”
